Toast Embedded Finance: CAB Session Preparation

We're excited to see you next week in Boston for our CAB meetings. To get the most out of our Embedded Finance session, we would love for you to help us by opening a Toast Balance Account* and connecting your banking information to guide our Financial Assistant discussion.

1. Toast Balance Account*

Open a Toast Balance Account

Start your application by visiting this link – you'll be asked to authenticate your account as a security measure. You can also find the Toast Balance Account at the bottom of your Financial Products Page in Toast Web. The application takes just a few minutes to complete, and you will receive an approval decision shortly after submission. If you encounter any issues, please e-mail us at toastbalance@toasttab.com.

The Toast Balance Account is currently not available for all customers and restaurant locations, but we hope to support more customers in the near future. If you are unable to open a Toast Balance Account, you will still have an opportunity to see the product and provide feedback during the CAB session.

Open Jars to organize your budget

Each Jar is a separate Toast Balance Account that you can use for a specific purpose. Jars are a great way to help budget for operating expenses like payroll invoices and taxes, save for large purchases and restaurant projects, and build a rainy day fund.

  • On your Toast Balance Dashboard, click on Open a Jar. Then, follow the instructions to personalize and set up your new Account.

Set up Auto Savings for your card sales processed through Toast

Budget better and save time by automatically depositing fixed percentages of your card sales into your Toast Balance Account and Jars. 

  • On your Toast Balance Dashboard, find the Toast Balance Account or Jar that you want to set up Auto Savings for, and click on the Pencil Icon to edit it.

It may take up to a day for Auto Savings to start working depending on your restaurant's payment capture and daily deposit settings. Auto Savings deposits into your Toast Balance Account will occur each day after all other scheduled debits are withdrawn (e.g. card processing fees, Toast Capital Loan repayments, Easy Pay repayments, etc.). This percentage is applied across all restaurants associated with your business.

Connect your bank accounts to Toast

To enable an immersive and personalized experience during our Financial Assistant segment, please connect your banking information in Toast Web. You can quickly connect your banking information by visiting your Financial Products Page and clicking on the Connect your bank accounts button. Please connect all of your bank accounts to provide a complete view of your restaurant's financials.

  • Connecting is secure and private - Your financial information is safe. Your account information is encrypted and your credentials will never be shared with Toast
  • You can disconnect your linked accounts at any time through your banking partner.


To connect your bank accounts for different locations, please use the location selector dropdown at the top of your Toast Web window.
