  • What features are included in the upgraded version of Toast Online Ordering? 

    • Some of the new features include: 

      • The ability to customize the platform to your brand and color preference

      • Increased menu visibility so new guests can find you with a search engine optimized menu

      • Redesigned location picker page 

      • Menu deep linking to drive sales on social media

  • How do I get my business on the upgraded version of Toast Online Ordering?

    • You don’t have to do anything - your online ordering experience will be automatically upgraded on February 3, 2023. 

    • If you wish to customize your new online ordering page or learn more, email oov4@toasttab.com and a member of our team will work with you directly.


  • How much does the upgraded version of Toast Online Ordering cost? 

    • There is no additional cost to your restaurant with these new features. 

    • While there won’t be any additional charges to your restaurant - beginning February 3, 2023 - guests will pay an Order Processing Fee of $0.99 on all Toast Online Ordering orders over $10 (before taxes or fees), which will be collected by Toast from your business. This new processing fee will be paid by the guest similar to a ‘Service Charge’.

  • How will the built-in marketing tools of Toast Online Ordering help result in more orders? 

    • As of February 3, 2023 your online ordering site will have unique pages for each individual menu item, which can be linked to directly from your website, social media, and online advertisements. This makes it easier for you to promote specific items and your customers to purchase those items.  

    • These pages are also crawled and displayed in search results by Google and other search engines, which can result in increased discoverability and traffic from people searching for those items in your area.

    • You can also customize your online ordering page's title and description tags to emphasize target keywords and boost your performance in organic search results.
