Former MRA President Joins Toast as Industry Consultant

Peter Christie to Consult the Restaurant Management Software Company
Peter Christie, former president of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and 50-year veteran of the foodservice industry, has signed on as a key advisor for Toast, the all-in-one restaurant software platform. Christie will act as an experienced industry consultant and product evangelist.

Christie served as President of the MRA for 25 years. Prior to his tenure with the MRA, Christie owned three casual full-service restaurants in Middlesex County, MA and was active in local politics and legislature. He served as the Director of Membership Services at the MRA before being appointed President and CEO in 1989.

Christie was a long-time industry representative to the Board of the National Restaurant Association, served as CEO of the MRA Educational Foundation, and acted as president of the International Society of Restaurant Association Executives. In 2000, Christie was named one of America’s “Top 50 Industry Power Players” by Nation’s Restaurant News.
Christie retired from the MRA in 2013. He lives in Needham, MA with his wife Dorene.
