Combining flexible touchscreen computers with all-in-one restaurant software enhances restaurant management

BOSTON, MA -- Toast, Inc., an all-in-one restaurant POS system, recently partnered with Elo, a global supplier of touchscreen solutions. Elo's I-Series touchscreen computers are now offered in tandem with Toast's restaurant software platform. Elo's out-of-the-box touch computers allow restaurant operators to combine customizable hardware with customizable software. As an Elo partner, Toast can now offer 10-inch, 15-inch, and 22-inch Elo Android I-series touch computers, built to survive commercial use in the front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant environment.

“Restaurants require plug-and-play solutions that withstand the rigors of their environments,” said Chris Comparato, CEO of Toast. “We selected Elo because its hardware functions with the reliable Android platform and is built for commercial environments rather than consumer applications.”

The commercial-grade I-Series displays are fanless, solid-state devices available with Android OS and built for high-volume use. The partnership enables restaurant owners to implement a complete system that includes integrated point of sale (POS) software with loyalty programs, online ordering, gift cards, and more, all on a scalable plug-and-play solution. Toast also allows users to customize employee permissions, route orders to specific prep stations, make modifications on the fly, and access real-time business analytics from anywhere, using any device with internet access. Elo and Toast customers can further customize their systems by using Toast’s software and Elo’s touchscreens as bar or kitchen displays that can be flexibly mounted in portrait or landscape orientation and on tabletops anywhere in the restaurant for added back-of-house efficiency.

"Elo boosts restaurant software capabilities by providing a robust platform for partners like Toast to offer integrated loyalty, sales, labor, and POS software solutions,” said Craig Witsoe, CEO of Elo. “Elo I-Series hardware combined with Toast software provides an all-in-one, easy-to-use restaurant management platform."
