You asked, we listened. We value your feedback and that’s why we’ve created the Toast Test Kitchen. What is it? It’s a page in Toast Web where you, our valued customers, will be able to view and sign up for Toast betas and give feedback on new concepts. New betas include Single-Use Promotion Codes (currently only for Online Ordering customers) and Digital View-Only Menus.

With Toast Test Kitchen, you can learn about all new and ongoing beta testing opportunities, opt in to beta programs, and provide feedback straight from the Toast back-end. Navigate to your Toast account and access in the left side navigation.

We can’t wait to hear from you.

Security & Compliance Update

With data theft and fraud on the rise, we always want to make sure you are well positioned to maintain a secure environment in your restaurant and keep your guest data safe.  We are also here to help with a suite of existing capabilities you receive for free from Toast that includes:

  • Real time network monitoring to help keep your restaurant secure

  • Frequent firmware updates to maintain device security

  • Proactive notifications and alerts when your network or devices are out of compliance

In addition to the support we provide, there are four simple steps that you should take to make sure you are maintaining a secure environment in your restaurant.  These are:

  1. Keep Your Device Firmware Up To Date: Just like your smartphone, it is important that your devices are running on the latest, Toast Certified, firmware.  Like your smartphone, these changes happen automatically.  A Toast representative may call you if we see your firmware needs to be updated.  To confirm that you have the latest firmware, follow this easy guide.

  2. Make Sure Toast Devices Run on Your Toast Network: We have created a separate Toast network to safely run all of your Toast devices on. If you have connected to other networks in the past, navigate to your wifi settings and “forget” these previous networks.

  3. Connect Only Toast Approved Devices to Your Toast Router*: Only Toast approved devices can be connected to your Toast router. Other devices, like ATM‘s or personal computers are not considered “Toast Approved.”

  4. Processing Payments off-premise? If you use Toast for your Food Truck or at a Farmers Market, sign-up here to stay up to date on new off premise innovation coming soon!

We will continue to share best practices and tips through dedicated programming in September and October.

*The router that came with your Toast Hardware is intended for Toast Hardware access only.
